Back in time

At this time we are all in a period of restrictions and can't go out as much as we normally can. Whether this continues long, we don't know. I look more on my computer then usual. Today I came across a old video of me playing drums in 1983. I was 27 at that time. The band, I was playing, was called Boggy Lane, after the street in Hoorn, I was born. We had a great time together and are still in contact with each other. I had fun watching it. Maybe you will also.

Keep healthy all!

Workshop Gospel

Next Sunday the 8th of March I am going to participate in a Gospel Workshop in Vitsand. It is lead by Gerald I. Smith from the USA and I am looking forward to it. Maybe I can add some percussion to it but that is up to Gerald. We shall see.

Today I have worked a bit in the house. We have a little attic in Ytje's room and I have place a decorative wall on it.

I also have been busy the last days with archiving our CD's so it will be easier to find specific Artists and titles. Almost done.

Ytje is having a good time with her mother in Portugal. I miss her but it is not for long before we see each-other again.

Beginning of 2020

A new year and lots of exiting things! First of all winter in Sweden seems to be not coming this year. Hardly had snow and temperature is mostly above zero. Not how it normally is here. But I don't complain. The year started with lot of musical events. We played with our Barock quartet "Rätso Barockt" in Nygård in Ekshärad two pieces: 6 dances of Pastorius and Passacalio of Marini. Nice concert and good reactions from the audience.
I played harpsichord on the keyboard and Ytje cello. The other members (Gunnar and Roberto) played violin.

2 weeks later (February the 15th) we organised a concert at our house. Invited 20 music friends and played a lot of different music. Some old Swedish Waltzes with Violin, cello and piano, some guitar and ukulele songs, Swedish ballads, Jazz and some pieces played by me on marimba. That instrument was used again after 10 years. So I hoped I could still play...

Well all went very well. Ytje and I plan to do this more often. We think it would be nice to have a summer concert in the garden (if the weather is good) so we already talk about the things we could do then.

At this moment we take a little break. Ytje has gone to visit her mother in Portugal and I stay home and do some little work on the house.
